Company Overview:
The Ultra-met Company is a leading independent manufacturer of tungsten carbide products for fabricators and tool makers that will be used in a wide range of industries such as the automotive, aerospace, medical, petroleum, and woodworking industries.
Our products primarily consist of cutting tools and wear products.
The manufacturing process involves making tungsten carbide powder, pressing, forming, sintering, and grinding operations.
We are a locally owned, privately held, long-term growth-oriented company.
Summary:
In this key management role, the Inside Sales/Design Engineering Manager's primary responsibility is to lead the inside sales, customer service, and design engineering teams to support customers, internal departments, and drive new project development.
This position will interface with all UM departments and customers.
This position reports to the V.
P.
of Sales.
Specific responsibilities include:
1.
Leading the Inside Sales/Customer Service Team and Design Engineering Teams 2.
Providing all Customer Support/Service and Support/Service to the External Sales Team 3.
Developing quotes and proposals 4.
Being the liaison between Ultra-met engineering, customer support, production, and the customer to continually improve the product as well as delivery 5.
Developing strategic sales goals for inside sales team to steadily increase the market share through qualifying leads, reaching out to new and existing customers, and continuously improving customer satisfaction 6.
Maintaining positive relationships with current customers while attracting new ones Specific qualifications include:
1.
90% on-site in Urbana, OH - limited travel 2.
Technical degree preferred 3.
Understanding of manufacturing technologies and applications preferred 4.
Must be able to perform mathematical calculations applicable to product application and able to read blueprints preferred 5.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills 6.
General computer skills including Office, Word, Excel, Power Point.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
