As theRegulatory & Compliance Engineer you will work with our Sales Team and our customers to understand their needs and how they meet the market's needs.
You will develop preliminary plans, and determine project specifications by analyzing client input, available data and product design needs to ensure that all our products comply with Agency and Code requirements such as UL 508A (Industrial Control Panels), UL 845 (Motor Controls), UL 891 (Switchboards), NEC (National electrical code).
You will partner with customers to support them to meet their needs and to full fill agency and Code requirements when they apply Rittal products in their solutions and in the Field.
You will support Rittals HQ Regulatory Affairs Team in US related product certification projects.
Primary
Responsibilities:
Drive business decisions by providing quantitative and qualitative data analysis and reporting of patterns, insights, and trends to decision-makers.
Respond to address client concerns and to resolve any complex client issues.
Provide technical assistance to clients in reference to product evaluations and design review to ensure a compliant application of Rittal products in their solutions.
Represent Rittal s solutions to meet Agency/Code compliance needs/criteria/demands at meetings and in certification projects with UL in order to support customers or Rittal HQ R&D activities.
Market and trend analysis to determine areas in which the product may not be in compliance with Agency/UL standard-based requirements and align with Product Management and HQ Research & Development on relevant portfolio evolution projects.
Plan, conduct, and supervise code and regulatory related projects of major magnitude and scope.
Serve as Project Handler of record and signs as Reviewer of record as assigned.
Serve as Certification Agent for Rittal HQ at UL s US HQResolve complex engineering issues by analyzing and reporting on the conditions of acceptability of the UL product evaluations to customers.
Develop test requirements for products beyond the scope of existing standards, or those involving unique features requiring frequent use of independent judgment.
Develop special test methods and test equipment in conjunction with UL.
May represent Rittal LLC at local UL meetings and/or industry-related functions such as standard association meetings, seminars, and trade shows.
May provide direction as a Primary Designated US regulatory Engineer for specific product categories.
Knowledge &
Experience:
University Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or Physics from an ABET accredited program plus at least five years related work experience.
Experience in Field Engineering, UL Compliance, Quality Engineering or Engineering License (PE) preferred.
Strong knowledge of UL standards, such as 508A (Industrial Control Panels), 845 (Motor Controls), 891 (Switchboards) Experience in Code (NEC) application and conformity standards in use in areas of expertise.
Preferred knowledge Minimum of 5 years industry experience and extensive knowledge in multiple areas:
Energy technology, low-voltage technology, conventional energies, renewable energies, focus on low-voltage.
General electrical engineering background, and strong mechanical and technical aptitude with the ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams and customer drawings.
Demonstrated ability to apply project-handling concepts in use in area of expertise.
Detailed knowledge of the technical vocabulary common to the field evaluation business.
Experience with one or more of the following is a plus:
UL HazLoc class I, II, III, SEMI, Renewable EnergyDemonstrated ability to apply project-handling concepts in use in areas of expertise, including application to complex, new, or unusual products.
Ability to cross sell and understand client technical business needs.
Strong written and verbal communications skills, and client-interfacing skills.
Strong computer skills.
Ability to travel locally and regionally.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
