The Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Hardware Coordinator's (HWC) main focus is to coordinate with all functions (program management, engineering, AME, Factory, Sourcing, etc) to establish and execute New Program Development (NPD) hardware delivery requirements.
Responsibilities Include:
Ability to utilize SAP to determine and report the status of material.
Maintain clear line of sight to all internal and external delivery dates
Create and maintain a detailed part shortage list, line of balance.
Expedite part shortages through sourcing organization.
Escalate quality issues/snags
Expedite shippers and report delivery status right to the customer dock
Interface with internal and external customers and acts as an escalation path for project issues.
Partner with Client factories to ensure supply and delivery requirements are met.
Monitor status of projects with a focus on assessing risk to business
Understand supply chain risks and develop hardware delivery re-commits (recovery plans) for engineering design changes
Create and support internal and external status reports
Qualifications include:
Requires a high school degree and 4-6 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
Strong foundation with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures including SAP, material planning, electronics and mechanical parts.
Availability to utilize Excel (must be able to use pivot tables, vlookups, etc) and MS Project to plan delivery.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to interface with many different functional teams both on and off shifts. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Reports to a manager but must be a self-starter with capability to meet end goal and deliver NPD hardware on time. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
