Description: Responsibilities:
Coordinate and support activities between Product Engineering, Operations, Quality and NPI. Identify and analyze product opportunities / issues. Plan, deploy, monitor and control improvement including initiatives to drive product and process improvements. Support Customer communication to facilitate and improve Product Quality and delivery as needed.
Primary focus area is Circuit Card Assembly, and must show expertise in mixed technology/ mixed metallurgy manufacturing techniques utilizing pick and place, wave solder, select solder. Inspection and verification expertise involves flying probe, AOI, AXI and functional test. Conformal coating expertise includes traditional spray, select spray and hand coat techniques.
Drive improvement of unit cost management including Cost Savings, Quality Measures, Product Cost, Productivity, Escapes and First Pass Yields
Drive deployment of Built in Quality, the reduction in quality escapes, Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ), and Materials Review Board (MRB) utilization for assigned areas of responsibility.
Participate with the New Product Development (NPD) Engineers and the Integrated Product Delivery and Support (IPDS) process (Phase 1-5) for product transition into manufacturing including supporting the sign-off approval process. Responsible for Phase 6 programs including identification of Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) gaps for assigned products and processes.
Support the Quality Management System (QMS) policies and procedures. Develop document and train step by step method sheets and work instructions for assigned products to facilitate work cell incorporation. Ensure correct tooling and factory test equipment are available and in use. Support all internal and regulatory audits as required. Also identify and implement Root Cause Corrective Actions using processes such as Corrective Action Mistake-Proofing (CAMP). Participate in developing cause chains to determine real issues and cause. Suggest changes to Design engineering regarding issues impacting product integrity.
Provides data for analysis and identification of capital equipment needs to address gaps in capacity, including AR creation, process management and installation. Drives adherence to department Burden, Tooling and Momentum budgets.
Execute and manage projects (such as cost reduction, transitions, Supplier Quality issues, COPQ, etc.) and allocate funding for assigned areas of responsibility. Coordinate and support efforts to align with project and factory needs. Identify and execute alternate solutions to mitigate quality and schedule risk.
Provide technical guidance to ensure improvements or achievement of AOP in the following: On-Time Delivery, PPM, Escapes, Cycle-time Reduction, First Pass Yield, Turn around Time, Inventory Reduction, COPQ and Safety.
Improve internal manufacturing operations including; continuous improvement status, budget status. Work together and provide daily status to drive: On-Time Delivery, PPM, Escapes, Cycle-time Reduction, First Pass Yield, and Turn around Time, Inventory Reduction, COPQ and Safety.
Coordinate improvement project planning and execution.
Support and status high visibility issues or projects (daily or as needed interactions). Interface with Suppliers and Customers as required.
-Bachelors degree in Engineering or related technical field.
-Requires minimum of 2+ years of directly related experience in Product Engineering or Technical Masters degree.
-Excellent computer skills including MS Office Suite (including EXCEL and PowerPoint).
Good understanding of CCA manufacturing techniques and their impact on costs including continuous improvement.
Knowledge, skill and experience with varied manufacturing processes
Possesses financial acumen, understands business metrics and how to impact results
Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate project status and program needs across different levels of the organization and different operating environments
Demonstrate people management skills via mentoring others where applicable. Able to be a key contributor on a high performance team
Able to deal tactfully and confidently with internal, external customers and suppliers at all organizational levels
Able to influence and provide leadership where required.
Familiar with project management skills and able to close initiatives on time and within budget

Green Belt or DFSS certification required. Blackbelt and Lean certification a plus. Demonstrated use of six sigma tools

MatLab, SQL and MS Project are a plus.
Working knowledge of SAP and HOS where applicable.

Training will be OJT (on the job) during first shift hours.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
